Delete your account
This page explains how to delete your Kursblick / Vesselbird account and its data. You can do this in your web browser, including after uninstalling the Android app.
How to delete your account
- Open your account using the button above. Sign in with your existing username and password if needed.
- In your account, select Delete account. If you want to keep your lists and filters, use Export settings first.
- Enter your password and select Permanently delete account. The account is deleted only after this confirmation.
The button only opens your account. Visiting this page or signing in does not delete anything.
What is deleted and what remains?
Deletion removes your account, username, saved filters, favourite lists, authentication data and active sessions from the live service. You can no longer use that account on the website or in the app.
Protected daily account backups may still contain the deleted data for up to seven days, until those copies expire. When restoring a backup, deletion requests must be reapplied.
Guest settings in your browser or app cookies and files you previously exported remain under your control. You can remove them in the relevant browser or app settings and delete exported files yourself. Public ship-position histories come from independent AIS sources and are not deleted by deleting your account. Requests about ship information linked to you are assessed separately; contact the operator below.
Forgotten your password or lost access?
Open the account and select Forgot password?. Use the recovery code saved when registering to choose a new password, then sign in and follow the deletion steps above. If you have lost the code or cannot access your account, contact the operator below with your username and your request to delete the account. We will check the request and your entitlement before deleting account data. Do not send your password or recovery code by email.
